Product Description
A regiment with an illustrious history, but sadly long gone. The Cameron's merged with the Seaforth Highlanders in 1960 to form the Queen's Own Highlanders, who then merged with the Gordon Highlanders to form The Highlanders. And then a few years ago all of our fine Scottish infantry regiments merged again to form The Royal Regiment of Scotland. The only link today within the Royal Regiment of Scotland to the Cameron's is the distinctive Cameron of Erracht tartan still worn by the pipers of the 4th Bn Royal Regiment of Scotland. This is the second of two mugs we have done to depict this fine regiment.
Figures shown on the mug are as follows:
France 1917, India 1933, Dunkirk 1940, North Africa 1942, Kohima 1944, Normandy 1944, Balmoral 1955, Aden 1956, Dover 1957, Edinburgh 1960.
